Why doesn’t the tool show exact dollar amounts?
Because amounts and rates can change. Rather than show a figure that may become stale, we describe each program and link to its official page. Confirm the current amount and criteria directly with the program.
Is this an eligibility decision?
No. It’s a starting point that suggests programs that may be relevant based on your answers. Actual eligibility is determined by each program. When in doubt, contact the program directly, your CLSC, or L’Appui.
Where should I start?
For most families the CLSC is the entry point: a needs assessment unlocks home support and points you to several programs. Call 811, option 2.
